Summer is the perfect time to upgrade  your skin, hair and workout routine. In the summer you spend a lot more time wearing less makeup, rocking your natural hair and getting away with being more low maintenance. Even though summer allows us to be laid back on our style, it’s important to continue upgrading your life with small daily routines. Small routines lead to big paybacks in the long run, everything from maintaining your skin healthy, working out or conditioning your hair can later lead to the ultimate glow up. I love doing small challenges from weekly sheet masks, to deep conditioning once a week, these small challenges add up in the end.

Here’s a Summer Glow up challenge to incorporate into your current routine while keeping things fun.

Start a skin care routine:

If you don’t have a skin care routine already then summer is the perfect time too start one. A skin care routine that will give you a beautiful Summer glow involves getting rid of dead skin and hydrating it to the max for that ultimate glowing look. Deep Condition Hair:

High Intensity Intervals:

Add a day or two of high intensity interval’s into your workout whether is 20 minutes of sprints on a treadmill (30 seconds run (max speed), 30-45 seconds break/for 5-10 rounds), weight intervals, or a mix of body weight workouts like burpees, rope and jumping jacks can get your body out of a plateau so you can start seeing results again.

Sunscreen Everyday:

Don’t leave the house without SPF. SPF is important to avoid sun damage like sun spots and premature wrinkles. A separate SPF with 30+ is perfect for everyday use. My favorite is the CeraVe Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 2 oz with Zinc Oxide, Niacinamide and Ceramides.

Get a Shimmer Gloss:

Increase Water Intake:

Increasing your water little by little is recommended, if you do not like the taste of water adding limes or infusing it with fruits can really make it more tasty. Water will give you clear skin and get rid of toxins.

Eat More Veggies:

Vegetables contain amazing antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that are great for your health. They are also amazing for keeping you full. If you don’t like eating vegetables you can also create a green smoothie which are delicious and on the go. Do a Sheet Mask Weekly:
