Relax After Long Day

Ways to Relax After a Long Day at Work

After a long day of work all I want to do is relax. But as soon as I am out of work my mind is racing with a zillion things I want to get done.

I know for me thinking about what needs to get done usually gets me so tired, I end up wanting to nap. Relaxing is so important. I know I need that me time to feel recharged. So if this sounds familiar, i’ve come up with some ways to relax after a long day.

1. Take a hot shower:

A hot shower literally washes away stress. I feel relaxed and calm after a shower. I love running a warm bath and adding some Bath Bombs or lighting some candles. Using a yummy smelling body wash can really make a bath feel soo relaxing.

A refreshing scent can make you feel like you’re far away in the Jungle. Under a water fall. (or maybe is just me)

2. Change into comfy clothes:

Putting on some comfy clothes is such a great way to tell your body is time to unwind. I love cotton pajama pants and tank tops, they remind me of coming home from school when I was younger and just hanging out with no worries at all. Get a matching pair and feel cute and comfy at the same time.

3. Read a Book:

A book always helps with quieting my mind. I love coming home and opening up a book. Such a great way to forget about any work stress.

4. Disconnect from the world:

Turning off any distractions really helps me unwind. I’m on my phone all day or reading emails or writing down blog ideas. So when I can shut it all down I really feel like I can relax.

Nothing feels better than turning off your phone, putting some music and letting all worries disappear.

5. Drink some tea:

I love warm tea at night. I enjoy some peppermint tea after dinner, such a great way to feel cozy. I also like drinking chamomile and honey.

The options are endless when it comes to tea flavors, sometimes I add a bit of lime for taste. Tea has many great benefits, just remember to choose a non-caffeinated formula when drinking it at night.
